Use sustainable or environmentally responsible materials

Where possible, and catering for people with special needs, disposable items are replaced with reusable, such as plastic straws with metal, and paper coffee cups with travel cups

Furnish the build with

• smart technology, e.g. automated lights for less electricity usage

• solar panels

• eco friendly systems, e.g. half flush toilets

• showers instead of baths

• skylights and cross ventilation to heat and cool the building, relying less on thermostat control
